Home Air Conditioning Refrigerant Recharging

A Technician Provides Refrigerant Recharge.

Staying Cool

At Integrity AC LLC, we want our customers to stay cool and comfortable year round. The refrigerant in your air conditioner is what circulates through the system to make the air cold. With newer systems, especially those running on R410A refrigerant, especially energy efficient systems, the refrigerant rarely runs low, unless there is a leak. If you suddenly find your system blowing warm air or you spot frost on the components, you may have a refrigerant leak. Among the many service offerings we provide is home air conditioning refrigerant recharging in Ellenton, FL. For refrigerant recharge give us a call at 941-704-9413.

If you have an older system that runs on R22 refrigerant, we also provide recharge for those systems. Additionally, you may want to consider upgrading to a newer air conditioning system because this mixture is being phased out and is harder to get and costs more to recharge your system. Our service technicians are highly skilled when it comes to air conditioner installation.

Recharging the Refrigerant

For both older and newer systems, if you have a coolant leak then you’ll need home air conditioning refrigerant recharging in Ellenton, FL.

If you’re getting warm air coming from your vents, the first thing you want to do is wait about 15 minutes after the system has been turned on so residual warm air will blow out. Should the warm air remain present, you should check your thermostat. The thermostat may just need to be reset. To test it out, set the thermostat to about 80 degrees or so and wait about 30 minutes before reducing the temperature to about 60 degrees. You need a refrigerant recharge if warm air is still blowing after this reset.

If you notice ice crystals on the evaporator coils, this is a sign the refrigerant is leaking. If you have less refrigerant running through the system, the refrigerant is expanding more than it should. The refrigerant is not absorbing heat properly, causing the coils to freeze. If ice has formed on the coils, turn the system off to let them thaw and call us at 941-704-9413 for service.
